Ori and the Blind Forest was just the start for Moon Studios as they created one of the more memorable games that originated on the Xbox One. Later on, they released Ori and the Will Of The Wisps for the Nintendo Switch, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and PC.
It was never announced how many units the Ori series sold or each game itself. According to Thomas Mahler, the Creative Director at Moon Studios, the Ori series has sold around 10 million copies so far.
If Blind Forest would have flopped back then, we would’ve been bankrupt as a studio.
But thank god it didn’t – we sold around 10m copies of Ori so far, which probably makes it the most successful Metroidvania series ever made.

Moon Studios is working on No Rest for the Wicked as their next big project.
