The Silver Case 2425 To Receive Nintendo Switch Release This July, NIS Announces

To a plenty of Nintendo Switch users roughly half a year ago, there was a great concern with the number of Grasshopper Manufacture titles available on Nintendo Switch. And running off of the previous announcement for the 2021 delay for No More Heroes III, that same following only grew more anxious to when more releases make its way to the Nintendo eShop in the coming future. Thankfully the first two No More Heroes entries graced the platform back in October.

Looking at the developer previous repertoire of titles, there only happened to be one that the developer deemed a Nintendo Switch port – The Silver Case. Studio lead Goichi “Suda51” Suda previously disclosed that interest mainly grew for the 1999 release mainly since other possibilities were tied down by publishing rights and property holders.

In a new announcement this past week, NIS America announced that aforementioned title is to arrive to Nintendo Switch via The Silver Case 2425. You can watch the announcement trailer in the video below:

“In The Silver Case, a string of mysterious serial killings plagues the city, and the detectives of the 24 Wards Heinous Crimes Unit have their eyes on one man: Kamui Uehara,” the synopsis reads for the game’s Limited Edition listing. “This legendary serial killer has assassinated a number of government officials 20 years prior in the now-famous ‘Silver Case.’ However, nobody knows who—or what—Kamui really is. Has he really returned? Who is this infamous serial killer?”

As stated, NIS America is also offering a Limited Edition for The Silver Case 2425 which includes a physical copy of the game alongside a collection of memorabilia for the game’s hardened players. Alike the original titular release in Japan in 2018 for PlayStation 4, The Silver Case 2425 includes the namely 1999 game alongside The 25th Ward: The Silver Case.

Elsewhere from Grasshopper Manufacture in recent weeks, the developer unveiled in the latest Nintendo Direct livestream that the long-awaited No More Heroes III will be arriving in late August. You can read the full report by heading here.
