Shawn Layden, the president of Sony made a couple statements to Fox Business. According to Layden, the Uncharted series has sold more than 28 million copies. And with the new release of Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End, it is expected that 7-10 million more copies will be sold. Uncharted also got a score of 94 on Metacritic, which is the highest all year for any game.
The console exclusive is one of the main games making big sales for the PS4 which is something that Layden says is a big factor for why gamers buy which console.
“We believe that fans—longtime and new—find high quality exclusives to be a key factor in choosing the console they play on.”
It is clear that Uncharted 4 is one of the most popular, and successful game on the PlayStation4. The Uncharted series have always been a fan favorite but sadly this is the last instalment in the series.
