Microsoft’s new approach to cloud-based entertainment is through the new and growing in popularity Project xCloud. Rather than being bound by consoles or primitive hardware that you have to buy just to play our favorite software, Microsoft is has released and still developing on a new alternative that players can take on through their own mobile smart phones.
However, the new initiative has also been shared to take new directions leading into 2020 as Microsoft announced at its X019 event in London last year that Project xCloud will be shipping to PC as well. And while players and still sitting patiently to get their hands on the new version of Project xCloud, the first images for it has surfaced online via The Verge.
Similar to how the service works on mobile devices, Microsoft has built an Xbox Game Streaming application for Windows 10-supported machines to perform the same function. The build currently is only available to Microsoft employees, but seeing the images show that a test flight could potentially be inbound for PC soon.

Alike its mobile counterparts, the PC version of Project xCloud will also requires the user to have available; Bluetooth compatible Xbox One Controller; Microsoft account; stable internet connection. What the PC iteration does differently though is give players the ability to also stream games from their Xbox One console to PC seamlessly without a material connection to do the job.
The test available to those working at Microsoft, however, is only limited to streaming in 720p which is lower than on the current version for mobile. But according to one individual who spoke with the tech-focused outlet, the test is imminent to receive 1080p resolution integration “just around the corner.” Project xCloud on PC is also said to be very indifferent in structure to what we already experience for the service on smart phones which is a plus for those who look to experience the service again on a new platform.
More than a month ago, Microsoft revealed that after several months – Apple users will finally be able to join in Project xCloud test flights. You can read the full report by heading here.
Do you plan on sticking on mobile or migrating to PC for Project xCloud.
