This weekend's #Forzathon has a bug, here's what's happening

If you followed along with this week’s Forza Horizon 3 debacle on Windows 10, you’ll know the team at Turn 10 have had a rough week filled with hurried patching and a lot of leakage. After this morning’s update to version 1.0.39.2 that fixed and reunified the problems of 1.0.37.2 on Tuesday, all Horizon 3 players have the latest Rockstar Energy Car Pack to play with the BMW i8 and Bentley Bentayga, among them.
However, all is not golden in Forza-land going into the weekend.  This weekend’s Hall of the Mountain King #Forzathon features some races and tasks to earn wheelspins, experience, and a new Subaru rally car. The Subaru, sadly, is not being granted to players, and Forza team is aware of it. The worst of the news is that they will not and will not be able to fix the bug in time for #Forzathon’s end-date.  Turn 10’s Brian Ekburg spoke to the issue at the beginning of the weekly Forza Friday stream held on Forza’s Beam and Twitch channels.
Ekburg said the people who complete the weekend’s #Forzathon to win the Subaru, once the team instigates a change to fix the problem of it not being granted, may be able to have the car delivered after the event ends.  He also said that more chances to win this car or cars similar to it in future Forzathon event series.  He’ll be updating us when he learns and can share more.  While it’s always disappointing to find bugs, especially ones that keep content from players, it’s good to know the team is already working to understand and address the issue.
As Ekburg says, be sure to do the event because a possibility for the coming weeks may be de-facto gifting the car based on player achievements from #Forzathon.  #Forzathon also features a Lotus challenge to get 15,000 XP, stunts to get 3 wheelspins, and danger sign jumps in the BMW Isetta to get 25,000 XP, so get out on the slopes of Blizzard Mountain, and shred some powder.
