Titanfall 2 has long been confirmed for both release and E3 2016, however now as E3 draws near Respawn Entertainment is starting to really up the hype.
In some recent tweets the company, which is best known for the original Titanfall, claimed that the sequel will be “huge” and also “steal the show.” Titanfall, a multiplayer only game where the player assumes the role of a mech pilot, won over 60 awards when it was revealed at E3 2013. However this year the competition is fierce with the long rumoured Red Dead Redemption 2 set to be announced for example. But that is not say Respawn has no chance.
Although not genre-changing as the company expected, Titanfall still left its mark on multiplayer games and various companies now incorporate the movement principles this game prided itself on and with the sequel expected to build on the core principle of movement, and also build on the robots themselves I wouldn’t count them out from dazzling E3.
Respawn has been very coy with information about the game so far, they have only released one short teaser. But what they have revealed is that your mechs will now be able to weird and equip swords instead of just regular firearms.
The game’s reveal will be during the EA Play Event on June 12th, so we will be able to judge for ourselves exactly whether they stole the show very soon.
