In late 2015 Vince Zampella, who is one of the heads of Titanfall had said “Celebrating 10 million”, but none of us knew if it was 10 million sold or shipped. Turns out it was 10 million players instead of sales across Titanfall.

Blake Jorgensen, the CFO at Electronic Arts has stated the game sold over 7 million copies on Xbox One.
Titanfall did a little more than 7 million units last time. It was early in the cycle and one of the few titles out there
Respawn should feel good about its upcoming release of Titanfall 2 as they will be launching the game on PlayStation 4 and PC for the first time as the first Titanfall was an Xbox One exclusive. The sale numbers for the game could get even higher now that the game will have a story and an even better multiplayer.
