Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 5 Announced

Game Informer has revealed that Activision and the developer Robomodo are bringing back the old Pro Skater series for it’s 5th run. Pro Skater 5 will return to the series roots and classic gameplay, rather than the peripheral based games that have plagued the series in recent years.

It is stated that the gameplay will be in all of it’s old school glory, with some new additions like powerups and the ability to shoot projectiles?! The game can be taken on solo or co-op online where you and friends can complete objectives together or just simply skate together.Custom skate parks also make a return and can be shared with the world easily.

Characters in the game will obviously include Tony himself, with some old and new faces joining the mix. Nyjah Huston, Aaron Homoki, Ishod Wair, Riley Hawk, Lizzie Armanto, Chris Cole, David Gonzalez, Leticia Bufoni, and Andrew Reynolds all will be present in the game.

The game is set to launch on Xbox One and PS4 later this year, with the 360 and PS3 versions launching sometime after. The June issue of Game Informer will have a 6 page feature on THPS5 which will give us more details soon.

Excited? We sure are!
