This past E3 back in 2019 was quite enjoyable for Lego fans as Traveller’s Tales took the stage to announce Lego Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga. The game this time around will be a proper remaster for the games that released for last generation hardware atop of 2016’s Lego Star Wars: The Force Awakens. But what makes the announcement more bombastic is that both Episode VIII and Episode IX will both be receiving Lego adaptations in the new game.
However, entering well into 2020, fans have still yet to see when we will learn more about the complete anthology of the Skywalker legacy in Lego form. Even more, there is still no approximate release date for the game as well. But thankfully, today is a different scenario.
In celebration of today’s May the Fourth (be with you), Traveller’s Tales released the key art for the upcoming title. You can view the picture in the image below:
“Encapsulating the game’s epic blend of the three Star Wars™ trilogies, the key art includes some of the greatest heroes and villains seen throughout the Skywalker saga,” the synapse shared with the photo reads. “Thrilling locales also serve as a backdrop to the action-packed key art as players can engage in some of the films’ most legendary battles.
“From the landmark start to the Clone Wars in the Battle of Geonosis to manning an Alliance snowspeeder at the Battle of Hoth to take on the Imperial’s treacherous ground forces, generations of Star Wars™ lore and fandom will collide in LEGO® Star Wars™: The Skywalker Saga.” The developer does expand on the matters to disclose that more information is expected to arrive this coming summer, so fans should make sure to keep an eye out on new announcements.
The Skywalker Saga will feed fan hunger for new games as the last title hasn’t shipped since the following summer after Force Awakens hit the box office. Weirdly enough, Episode VIII – The Last Jedi never received its own respected Lego entry in 2017 which certainly raised an eyebrow on what Traveller’s Tales has in store for fans looking for a new Star Wars experience.
