
Upon some of the long-awaited titles throughout the industry, players must have heard of Andrew Shouldice’s Tunic. Either from a video game convention or an indie showcase reel, the title has remained in development for just over a handful of years as fans await on the spiritual successor to The Legend of Zelda: Link Awakens. You plays as a fox as you explore dungeons and other enriched settings discovering treasure and dangerous foes.
One of the last namely appearances for Tunic at the time was this past June with the second Summer Game Fest Demo Event in collaboration with Microsoft’s ID@Xbox. The game is an officially partnered title with the indie game development program with plans to ship as a timed exclusive on the platform later on.
On Wednesday, publisher Finji revealed it is launching Tunic with the addition of the game to Xbox Game Pass as well. You can watch the launch trailer in the video below:
“Since secrets are so integral to Tunic’s DNA, we’ve been super hush-hush – we’ve had to hold our tongue on what this game truly has in store for players. That’s what makes this launch so exciting for us – it is finally time to hand this game over to you. Rest up, adventurers. It’s a long journey ahead. We can’t wait to see what you discover,” Finji Senior Community Manager Harris Foster writes.
Exploring other Xbox Game Pass titles recently, Microsoft also went on to feature its remaining lineup for the service regarding March 2022. However, Tunic was not included making the announcement an even bigger surprise – titles such as Shredders. F1 2021 via EA Play, and Weird West. You can read the full report by heading here.
