This year alone, PlayStation Productions remains on of the most active firms when it comes to video game adaptations. The year started off strong when The Last of Us’ HBO series aired. Additionally, the company went on to also deliver Twisted Metal as well on Peacock. And Gran Turismo also hit theaters this summer around the same time.
All three adaptations went on to be nominated for Best Adaptation alongside Castlevania: Nocturne & The Super Mario Bros. Movie this Thursday. And whilst The Last of Us received the award, Twisted Metal got some spotlight as well. When actor Anthony Mackie took the stage to present the award for Best Ongoing Game, he also shared season 2 for Twisted Metal is on the way.
You can watch the segment of The Game Awards in the video below:
“Hey, I just want to say a big thank you to everyone that watched Twisted Metal on Peacock,” mackie said on stage. I have one thing to do before I get on to the award I’m supposed to represent.
