Just at the end of June, publisher Ubisoft after several reportings of a new battle royale being in development announced its upcoming project, Hyper Scape. The new project set in a futuristic yet fictional city of Neo Arcadia releases 100 contestants as they must use their senses and wits to come out victorious in the polished urban playground they use as a battlefield.
At the time of the announcement, Ubisoft shipped out a closed exclusive playtest for the game where industry personnel got to sample just what Hyper Scape will be. But now in today’s Ubisoft Forward presentation, the same-named publisher has announced that Hyper Scape will be receiving a new open beta for the game – starting today.
You can watch the new open beta trailer in the video below:
Those interested in downloading the open beta can head over to Uplay to install the inclusive playtest.
“Hyper Scape is an urban futuristic free-to-play Battle Royale where 100 Contenders engage in FPS close-quarters and fast-paced matches to become the next global superstar,” the synopsis gathered from the trailer’s description reads. “Fight your way through the 7 unique districts of Neo Arcadia, a virtual city featuring imposing landmarks that bring verticality to the next level. From sky-scraping towers to open plazas, from streets to rooftops, Neo Arcadia will push you to constantly adapt to your surroundings.”
Among other news passed around during today’s Ubisoft Forward showcase, the publisher also announced that its highly-anticipated Watch Dogs: Legion will be shipping this coming October for current systems with a project release for next-generation consoles to follow suit.
