Kotaku has reported that Ubisoft is currently working on a remake for Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag. Arguably one of the most liked Assassin’s Creed games will be getting the remake treatment and it seems to be weird timing with Skull and Bones still on the horizon. Should Ubisoft be focusing on another pirate themed game when they’ve been having difficulty on one for a number of years now?
The two sources in connection to Kotaku shared the remake of Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag is still in its earliest stages and it wouldn’t be completed for a couple of years. They also said that a team at Ubisoft Singapore will be heavily involved in creating this remake.
Assassin’s Creed Black Flag released in 2013 for Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 then found its way to the Xbox One and PlayStation 4. Is there really a need for a remake of this title that is just barely 10 years old?
Assassin’s Creed Mirage is what’s next for the franchise as it is set to ship this October for PlayStation 5 PC, and Xbox Series XlS.
