Back in September leading up to the release of Assassin’s Creed: Odyssey, Ubisoft announced that users who purchase the Season Pass for the Ancient Greek title will also receive a remastered version of Assassin’s Creed III for no addition charge. Until now, Ubisoft has been on quiet on exactly when fans will be able to return to colonial America in the Assassin’s Creed universe.
Recently Ubisoft announced that the complete rework of their 2012 Assassin’s Creed game will be available next month in late-March.

Noteworthy to mention that those who get the remastered title will also receive all downloadable content for the game which includes extra mission packs and the three-part DLC arc The Tyranny of King Washington. As well as the spinoff title which originally debuted exclusively on PlayStation Vita Assassin’s Creed III: Liberations which received the same reworked treatment as the flagship title.
For how the game look compared to launching more than half a decade ago, the remaster definitely stands out with better visuals, lighting, and finer details. Especially with the track record Ubisoft has for practically porting titles and calling it a remastered, this for sure is satisfying as now Assassin’s Creed III and Assassin’s Creed: Rogue both got complete visual overhauls.
And the recent rumor of the remastered title coming to the Nintendo Switch currently stands to be untrue. But that could change in the coming months assuming that Nintendo plans on saving the announcement for a direct in the near future.
Assassin’s Creed III Remastered will be available for Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC on March 29, 2019.
