In the recent weeks that included the previously held Ubisoft Forward, word broke out that publisher Ubisoft is preparing a new Tom Clancy experience. Unlike its projects in the past with respected identity to namely IPs, this new venture is told to be a conglomerate of multiple franchises. From a report done by Video Game Chronicles, it is said that Splinter Cell, The Division, and Ghost Recon make up a new project codenamed ‘Battlecat’.
Now according to Ubisoft, it is told that a new project is planned to be revealed tomorrow, July 19th. Currently, it is unclear what the new announcement pertains to exactly, but it is in the betterment of the Tom Clancy universe, the reveal illustrates.

Tune in at 11AM PT / 8PM CEST for the worldwide reveal of a brand-new game in the Tom Clancy’s universe.
Atop of the reporting from before, there is also lingering speculation that the announcement is for the upcoming The Division standalone title. Back in early May, Ubisoft mapped out its plans for The Division IP expanding to paperback novels & a titular live-action film at the time. But, the firm also expanded on a new release titled The Division Homeland: a free-to-play experience set in the same universe.
But in regards to the upcoming announcement for Monday, it does not appear likely to be the same game. From IGN on Twitter, the publication shared first-look footage at what appears to be a first-person shooter experience using The Division’s Times Square as a map for the location. More so it presents to be a free-to-play game, yes, however, it also features perspective gameplay you would find in Ghost Recon – hence this to be Battlecat.
You can watch the brief gameplay footage in the imbedded tweet below:
