Yes, Tyboy17’s EPIC “Tyboy messing around in Upload Studio” is returning!
Microsoft have rolled out a huge update for Upload Studio on Xbox One which was recently in Beta-testing by popular Upload creators. Changes were recently tested by Upload creators and rather than going through the Xbox Preview Program, the update for the app is now rolling out for everyone.
My initial impressions were the app is definitely much faster when browsing menus but there’s often slight split-second delays in the video editor. Transition effects can be added for each clip so users also no longer limited to having only one for each video.
Templates have also been vastly improved by adding a total of 31 templates to the App. It’s easy to do Top 5 videos, commentary videos, Forza-racing videos, game-themed videos and so much more! You can also start a video without a template if you prefer work from scratch.
You can also add text into videos by having your Gamertag and custom text show up in videos with custom fonts as well as a new Kinect green-screen (See, this is why you all should have a Kinect!) feature allowing you to be added to the video with the video playing around you. There’s also still limitations when it comes to video segments, but it seems you can go up to 16. Videos can also be longer than 5 minutes. We’ll keep playing around with it to see what else is new.
