Earlier on this past February, Valve officially released its first shipment of reservations for the Steam Deck. Even founder Gabe Newell went to the houses for some early purchasers to deliver the units personally in celebration of the new handheld from Valve. But it was following release that really brought excitement to the new portable platform.

In that, developers and publishers all round announced the green light for games enabled for the Steam Deck. Even a slew of Xbox Game Pass titles made its way to the Steam Deck then. More interesting is the support for Windows operating system to be directly implemented for the device which still boggles the minds for many users that it’s even possible.

Recently, Valve announced that its will be answering to most reservations for this year and will be delivered before the start of 2023.

We’ve updated the reservation windows, and everyone who’s currently in the reservation queue will get their Steam Deck email this year. Many customers who were in the “Q4 or later” window have been bumped up to “Q3 (July-September)” window. And everyone else is now solidly in the “Q4 (October-December)” window.

“Many of the supply chain shortfalls that affect Steam Deck are gradually clearing up, and we’re continuing to ramp production, so we’re able to produce more Decks faster than ever before,” the firm adds. “As of this moment, new reservations will be in the Q4 bucket, but if these queues fill up it will flip over into the following quarter.”

Additionally, more markets in Asia will be opening reservations for the Steam Deck including Japan, South Korea, Taiwan, and Hong Kong. “We have worked with the team at Komodo for years, and are excited to have their help as our authorized reseller of Steam Deck in these regions. Komodo has just opened reservations on their website. Customers with reservations in these new regions will be able to order their Steam Decks starting later this year.”

Are you excited for the overhaul for Steam Deck’s production?
