Following Harry Potter: Wizards Unite, Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment establishes a new publisher specifically for Harry Potter games for both console and mobile.
Portkey plans to bring new characters to the world of Harry Potter while also having familiar characters “at different points in their lives”. Rather than retelling the story of Harry vs Voldemort, Portkey Games plan to expand on the story based on J.K. Rowling’s wizarding world.
Even stated by the president of Warner Bros. David Haddad:

With Portkey Games, we are thrilled to answer the fans’ requests for more games inspired by J.K. Rowling’s Wizarding World. We are working with talented creators to build games that focus on player-generated stories, which will live alongside the magical universe created by J.K. Rowling.
