Watch_Dogs free on PC (again!)

Once again, Christmas is coming early for PC gamers. Around last month, Ubisoft released Watch_Dogs on Uplay for free. With the release of Assassin’s Creed IV and World of Conflict, the venerable gaming company probably said “Eh, why not release Watch_Dogs for free again?”
And so it did.
One has to wonder what exactly is in the heads of Ubisoft executives that keeps wanting to release this game for free. It’s unlikely that anyone is complaining, but a few are left scratching their heads as to what the catch of the whole thing is.
Despite some reported bugs, Watch_Dogs, for most people, is an above average game. As Aiden Quinn, you can hack other people’s cells to steal their money, traffic lights to stall enemy vehicles, and eavesdrop on important conversations. It may have been a simple revenge story (Quinn’s niece dies on a hit job gone wrong), but its underlining serves as allegory on technology gone amok, especially when some can be easily hacked to the point which your personal info is compromised. Yahoo! is a prime example.
Watch_Dogs, along with Assassin’s Creed IV and World in Conflict, are free on Uplay until December 23rd.
