343i Welcomes In New Community Manager
This week, 343 industries’ Bravo made a community update talking about future updates and in that blog he announced the new Halo Community Manager. He was previously a CM for Halo back in the Bungie days and 6 years later now he is back with 343 this time. His name goes by Ske7ch (Brian Jarrard) and now with there being a new community manager, Bravo has moved up to Senior Producer.
Please join me in welcoming @ske7ch as @Halo community manager! This and plenty more in this week's update: https://t.co/S7JXkkFDR1

They also had a little Q&A with Brian:
As the end of my first week at 343 comes to a close, it’s a very surreal feeling to pick up this torch and jump back into the Halo community after a nearly six-year hiatus. A lot has changed during my post-Bungie cryosleep and this week has brought a veritable flood of emotions bursting with spores of excitement, nostalgia and honestly, a sprinkle of trepidation.
Thankfully some things haven’t changed – namely my longstanding love of Halo, a kickass fan community and a community team comprised of awesome passionate folks who love their jobs! I’ve truly missed being an official part of Halo and while I did briefly mull over making a run at becoming the oldest ever HCS pro I’m thrilled that 343 spared me that humiliation and instead welcomed me into this more suitable role. It’s safe to say the community team now has a brand new worst Halo player to beat up on (though I’m pretty certain I can still crush Frankie).
It will certainly take some time for me to unlock all the necessary 343 community certs (sadly I seem no closer to finally acquiring a DMR) but it’s a journey I’m stoked to be starting and look forward to learning and experiencing together.
We can’t wait to see what Brian does with the Halo community again!
Titanfall 2 Sales Are Only 25% Of Titanfall 1
Battlefield 1 and the remastered version of Skyrim impressed at UK retail last week, Titanfall’s 2 launch not so much. The games launch sales (retail only) are well below the ones achieved by its predecessor, which arrived in March 2014 on Xbox platforms and PC only. Titanfall 2’s launch sales are barely a quarter of the ones achieved by its original – despite the fact that this sequel has the added benefit of launching on PlayStation 4. Titanfall 2 debuts at No.4 in the GfK Top 10, while the original reached the number 1 spot. That might had to do with not many FPS released for Xbox One so keep that in mind.
It’s a little odd that the game had a bit of a disappointing launch since the reviews have been nothing but great. The fans reactions have been great as well towards the campaign.
In the latest UK charts Titanfall debuted at number 4 with FIFA17 above it as well as Battlefield 1 and Skyrim remaster. Farming Simulator was right behind Titanfall 2.
Last Week | This Week | Title |

3 | 6 | Mafia III |
New Entry | 7 | Dragon Ball Z Xenoverse 2 |
4 | 8 | Gears of War 4 |

Nintendo Switch Will Have 4GB Of Ram
Emily Rogers, a great Nintendo source has put out some good news about the Switch. She confirmed that the system will have 4GB of ram in retail units and not just the dev units. This is double the Wii U’s ram, as some people thought the ram in the final units would be half of the dev kits. Now before anyone says that it weak the PlayStation 4 has 4-5GB usable for games.
There are fans that hope the PS4 version can live up to the Xbox One mods. After being asked on Twitter, Pete Hines, VP of Bethesda, said “we did that already. it wasn’t approved. whether it will change in the future, I don’t know. It isn’t up to me.” He also said on a later tweet that they will continue to push to push to have mods work the same on all platforms.
We will see what happens.
