“We’re Doing Things That Cant Be Done On Any Other Console” – Kudo Tsunoda

Xbox Executive, Kudo Tsunoda is confident that the Xbox One has a lot more going on than their competing platforms. In a recent interview with GameIndustry International Kudo talks about brand new Xbox One features like Backwards Compatibility, cross play and cross buy with PC and how the Xbox One has the upper hand.

Here are some points Kudo points out:

“With backwards compatibility, it isn’t something that we just think gamers might want,” Tsunoda explained. “We know. We’re looking for and soliciting that feedback. It was the number one most requested feature for Xbox One by far.”

Sony does not plan on bringing Backwards Compatibility to Playstation 4 anytime soon.

Xbox-compatible

“I wouldn’t even say the gap has closed, we’ve got a lot more exclusive games than any other platform.”

“We’ve got seven exclusives coming this holiday, and then everything coming in 2016. Not just the blockbusters, but the ID@Xbox games, the indie games. We’re giving people a lot more.”

“Letting people play games wherever they want, on whatever device they choose, and making that easy. Long term, that’s really what we’re trying to do as a platform.”

Microsoft is listening to the fans and giving them what they want and that is what separates them from other companies. The Xbox One is for the fans by the fans.

“Microsoft is a leader in depth-sensing technology: with Kinect, but also the stuff we’re doing with HoloLens as well. A big part of what we’re doing there is an environmental understanding that comes from having pushed our knowledge in depth-sensing. That’s what you’ll see us do as a company. [Kinect] is still a part of the platform, and there’s still Kinect games coming of course, but then also we’re pushing that depth-sensing technology forward with what we’re doing with HoloLens.”

The sales can say whatever they want but at the end of the day Xbox One is leading the way with the amount of options you have between games, where to play the games, or something little like if you want to use the controller or use the Kinect to scroll through the dashboard, where to talk to friends, it’s just and endless amount of fun. The amount of exclusives and indie games combined i’d say the Xbox One is well worth $500.00. Keep in mind we are only in year 2 of Xbox One the 2nd anniversary is November 22nd, 2015.
