Mario Kart World is Nintendo’s most ambitious game in the series yet. It includes an open world where players can free roam solo and complete challenges, find different outfits for characters, and find all question blocks.
The game also introduced a new Knockout Tour mode, which is essentially a small Battle Royale in Mario Kart style. There is still the normal Grand Prix mode that all fans are familiar with in previous iterations.
Is 200cc Coming To Mario Kart World?

Right now, Mario Kart World features 50cc, 100cc, 150cc, and Mirror Mode. It has been confirmed that 200cc is not in Mario Kart World at all right now. However, the game’s producer hasn’t ruled it out in a future update.
In an interview with Rolling Stone, producer Kosuke Yabuki was asked about the possibility of bringing 200cc to the newest Mario Kart.
“Some players are really happy with the addition of high difficulty modes likes this. However, does that mean we’re going to consider adding engine sizes that are larger than 150cc to Mario Kart World? I’m afraid I can’t say just yet.”
Mario Kart World is exclusive to Nintendo Switch 2, and it was released at a whopping price of $79.99. The Switch 2 has already sold over 3.5 million units, making it the fastest-selling console launch in history.
Nintendo hasn’t confirmed if the game will receive DLC or free updates. Given past history with Mario Kart 8 Deluxe, which received double the tracks it launched with, it’s almost a guarantee we’ll see some new content eventually with World.
