Xbox announcing the first 100 backwards compatibility games November 9th

After the announcement that the new Xbox One dashboard will be releasing on November 12th along with the backwards compatibility program to all, we were left wondering what was going to happen with the list of games. Were we just going to have to log on and search for the games, hoping for the best?

Well, today we now know the answer thanks to Phil Spencer himself as he responded to a fan on twitter asking the exact same question. According to Phil, the list of the first 100 games will be revealed on November 9th but not go live until the 12th when the program officially launches. This will give people time to organize and iron out their games list (if of course we’re not playing Tomb Raider or Fallout 4 in the meantime).

The list will be both first and third party games, of course, and leaks have been popping up everywhere but nothing has been confirmed either way. I just want to see Fight Night with Kinect featuring online MP so we can see each other knock out our opponents. Yes, I know that’s not really backwards compatibility but whatever, I still want it. As far as the program itself goes, let’s hope the classic RPG Blue Dragon is on there with Lost Odyssey. After all, they are the same developer. Here’s to hoping.
