Microsoft came out with the best deal in gaming with Xbox Game Pass in 2017 and since then it has become a huge benefit for many third-party and independent developers. It’s also been a great advantage for Xbox as first-party games will all be a Day One launch with the program.
The question many might have is how many people subscribe to the Xbox service that has been touted as the best deal in all of gaming. According to Craig McNary who is the Senior Director of Global Brand & Integrated Marketing for Xbox, he helped launch and grow Xbox Game Pass to 25 Million subscribers.
This information comes from his LinkedIn page where it shares his job description as Director of Integrated Marketing at Xbox.
Here is what the description read:
“Launched and grew Xbox Game Pass to 25M subscribers, through measured full funnel campaigns, GTM planning, SKU expansion to PC, iOS, and Android, and partnerships with Alienware, EA Play, Spotify, and Disney+.”
Thanks to Insider Gaming for this catch and it seemed like his Experience said over 30 million subscribers originally, but from what we see it now says 25 Million subscribers were reached for Game Pass.
In recent Xbox news, Xbox Live has now shifted over to the Xbox Game Pass Core Service.
