While many fans felt that Xbox has been slacking on its list of Xbox Games with Gold free titles, you are not alone. Previously Rectify Gaming did a piece on the matter elaborating that many of Microsoft’s ambitions with Xbox Game Pass overshadows the prior program and it appears to be the case as blockbuster releases are continuously featured over the online subscription-tied initiative.
But slowly with each iteration shipping this year so far, some titles prove to be more involved for players to get excited. For July 2021 this month, the program headlined with Rare’s Conker: Live and Reloaded which opened eyes during its announcement. Alongside that was also Planet Alpha, Rock of Ages 3: Make & Break, and Midway Arcade Origins.
Now for August 2021 just on the horizon, Microsoft welcomes a very fruitful month for Xbox Live Gold subscribers. At the start of the month, Darksiders III will be available for Xbox One until August 31 while Lost Planet 3 is to hit Xbox 360 lasting to August 15. For the latter half, Yooka-Laylee arrives from August 16 to September 15 as Garou: Mark of the Wolves drops the same date and leaves on August 31.
Reiterating on the drought of Xbox Live Games with Gold titles to get subscribers excited, claims went on to suggest the service is going free outright. But, Microsoft later clarified that there is no plans to pursue that. However, a new claim from GamesBeat’s Jeff Grubb discloses Microsoft is putting the ambition on the backburner as it could be years until the decision is put into effect, he explained.
As for one of the namely Xbox Live Games with Gold titles for next month, Darksiders III was given a glowing 9/10 score from David Rodriguez, He concludes, “THQ Nordic and Gunfire Games fires a shot right through the heart of an industry filled with bloated open world, micro-transaction heavy games with a return to tightly designed action-adventure games that recent AAA titles have sorely missed.
