Well over an entire console generation ago, Xbox Live happened to be the pinnacle for entertaining entries that simply does not leave the same impact if it happened today. Unique properties like Doritos Crash Course, Sneak King, or World House of Poker are namely releases that radiate the unique experience that can only be found on Xbox 360. But it is 1 Vs 100 that still stands to be the definitive experience among the latter.

It is evident that the title follows after the real-life show hosted by CBS and Bob Saget, but the translation of the game show to a video game is what still stands to be legendary to some. Following in structure to the televised show, players would answer questions which would proceed the experience. Of course, The Mob and The One when answering dictates how the game leads forward.

In the past, Xbox head Phil Spencer has commented on the revival of the game for Xbox users, but little has come to materializing since his comment last November. But now in a new interview during the recent Xbox Fanfest livestream, Spencer looks to suggest ambitions to reintroduce the project for next-generation consoles.

I just want to say, when our teams are trying to do new things that we’ve never done before, I want to be 100 percent behind those things. Sometimes they’ll turn out amazing, sometimes they’ll be good learning experiences for us. But for all the fans who have been on this with us, we’re going to make it good with you guys.

We don’t know exactly what it is yet, so thanks for hanging with us during this and our little experiment. We’ll learn. Maybe we should even be building our own trivia game, like from our past, that allows people to play a trivia game more often, maybe that could happen…

Of course, it is highly advised to take what Spencer is referencing as heavy speculation. While the trivia game he is referencing does appear to be 1 vs 100 on the surface, it is not definitively certain if that is the case until properly announced. But when reiterating on Spencer’s statement from last year, he does comment to be pursing the project eagerly with Xbox Game Studios Matt Booty also being involved as well in the discussions.

Back in 2017, Rectify Gaming held an interview with 1 Vs 100’s Chris Cashman and discussed his thoughts on the game when leading the project as a virtual host. During that, Cashman shared to be eager in reprising his role if the opportunity came up once again, but of course, nothing has came to fruition years after. Would you return to weekly games of 1 Vs 100 on the newer systems?
