Xbox One Backwards Compatibility Announced

Xbox-One

To start off Xbox E3 Microsoft came out with an unexpected announcement. We knew that there would be a software update being announced. No one thought that Backwards Compatibility would be announced. This means you can now play your Xbox 360 games on the Xbox One.   Your Xbox 360 saves and add-ons will transfer as well as achievements.

Great franchises like Halo, Mass Effect, Tomb Raider, GTA and Forza – all of these franchises’ older games will be playable on the Xbox One for the first time. This feature will be available to Xbox One Preview Members right now! Other members will have to wait until Fall 2015 for the awesome feature. It will be FREE of charge as well. You can also record and take pictures of your Xbox 360 games when you play them on the Xbox One.

UPDATE:

Xbox 360’s DLC Content will also be backwards compatible with Xbox One. But it will be up to the publisher.
