For the recent few weeks, discourse online grew in terms of what Microsoft’s plans are for its first-party releases. While nothing was confirmed, claims online told that a floodgate of Xbox game would be heading to PlayStation & Nintendo. But in fact, only four titles were confirmed for this endeavor. And, that it would not even include Starfield or Indiana Jones and the Great Circle.
As for the four games, that was left unnamed. Although Phil Spencer did not address which games are coming – leaving for the teams to make the announcement – he did share there are no other games outside of the determined four. Reports did indicate that Hi-Fi Rush, Pentiment, Sea Of Thieves, and Grounded are the chosen games to multiplatform.
And, it looks to be the case. Already, Grounded was confirmed to be coming in April later this spring. And tomorrow, Obsidian Entertainment’s Pentiment is set to hit the platform as well. However, despite hopes to see the likes of Tango Gameworks’ Hi-Fi Rush being revealed, the title has yet to make an appearance for either Nintendo or PlayStation.
“Journey to 16th Century Bavaria and face choices and consequences that will ripple throughout a small community for years to come. Step into a living illustrated world inspired by the earliest printed books and meet a colorful cast of characters in the small town of Tassing and nearby Keirsau Abbey. Each decision you make along the way can impact the community’s future for generations,” Nintendo writes in the press release.
Regarding Xbox teams at Nintendo, there are five new Rare games coming to Nintendo Switch Online. Those being Killer Instinct, Battletoads In Battlemaniacs, Snake Rattle N Roll, R.C. Pro-Am, and Blast Corps which arrive today. You can read the full report by heading here.
