The long wait is over, Ubisoft San Francisco announced that XDefiant is finally releasing on May 21, 2024, for Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 5, and PC via Ubisoft Connect. The day it launches will be the Preseason featuring 14 Maps, 5 Factions, 5 Modes, and 24 Weapons.
Once the Preseason concludes after six weeks Season 1 will go live and through the entire first year of content there will be an additional 4 Factions, 12 Weapons, and 12 Maps added to the game on top of what we get on day one.

XDefiant is a free-to-play game meaning it will cost you nothing to play, but you may have to purchase additional content. As of now, there does not seem to be any plans for a Nintendo Switch release for Ubisoft’s newest first-person shooter.
