In the most recent stretch of releases, RGG Studio’s Like a Dragon is all the craze right now. With its previous Like a Dragon Gaiden The Man Who Erased His Name, the game was its most played game – specifically on PC of the milestone. Even more, the newest Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth, it exceeded that record in a single week.
Our review for the game reads: With its rich characters, intricate plot, and attention to detail, Ryu Ga Gotoku Studio has delivered a masterpiece that will undoubtedly leave a lasting impact on the gaming landscape. Saito’s journey is not just a game; it’s an experience that transcends the medium, inviting players to embark on a soul-stirring odyssey that will resonate long after the credits roll.”
According to the recent ‘Ryu Ga Gotoku Studio TV’ on Monday, Like a Dragon director Masayoshi Yokoyama confirmed that casting for the next game is on the way. Even more, he entertains the idea on a ‘Kiwami’ for Yakuza 3 coming at some point. “But I’m just going to say, I think we’ll do a Kiwami 3 at some point. I think we’ll definitely do it sooner or later.”
In the past, 2009’s Yakuza 3 did face a remaster which came to the latest PlayStation & Xbox alongside PC via Yakuza Remastered Collection alongside Yakuza 4 and Yakuza 5. However, despite the age, it only got the general remaster rather than the treatment that the more recent Yakuza: Ishin received last year – a game that released in 2013.
Ultimately, it is expected to come at some point. One great notion for the future is that RGG Studio confirmed the Dragon Engine will continue to be utilized for its next release and beyond for Like a Dragon. You can read the full report by heading here.
