ZA/UM To Welcome Disco Elysium To PlayStation 4 & PlayStation 5 With Disco Elysium: The Final Cut Next Week

At The Game Awards back in 2019, ZA/UM made an abrupt appearance with the late-year release that I Disco Elysium. The top-down, story-driven RPG shook the industry with its engulfed world of different experiences and thriving environments that ultimately deemed the game to be awarded Best Narrative, Best Indie Game, and Best Role-Playing Game, the title would expectedly move to other platforms eventually.

Following the reception at the aforementioned awards show, developer ZA/UM announced that a Nintendo Switch version is already in the works. Presuming that the game studio is already occupied with versions for Xbox & PlayStation as well, it would be some time as to when more on that would arrive. In a new announcement, ZA/UM announces Disco Elysium: The Final Cut. But, the game is only arriving to PlayStation consoles.

You can watch the reveal trailer in the video below:

Disco Elysium Writer Chris Priestman gives a brief overview of the game: “Being a detective isn’t easy at the best of times – you have to inhale corpse stink and ask grieving families tough questions, for starters.” He continues, “but imagine waking up with a horrible hangover and no memory of where you are to then find out you’re the lead investigator of a murder case.

“No warning, no morning coffee; just you in your underwear, sore as hell, splayed awkwardly on the trashed floor of a rented room.” While Disco Elysium is still on its way to release, it should be noted on the other plans for the game as well. For one, D12 Entertainment plans to bring a television adaptation of the RPG to reality. You can read the full report by heading here.
