Although Call of Duty is the safest best to release each year, the biggest surprise is the direction the series takes. When it came time to reveal that Black Ops will be welcoming its sixth installment, players were excited to see how things will be different from the current Call of Duty: Modern Warfare III. Not only that, but the first title to ship now under Microsoft ownership also solidified launching on Xbox Game Pass this fall.

Some of the biggest takeaways from the showcase that came in June last month revealed plenty of things to be excited about. Firstly, round-based Zombies mode is finally making its return after the last few titles experimented with other elements. Additionally, the classic prestige system is also planned to release for the full game as well.

Of course, a beta for the game will be coming this year. But, dates were absent at the time of the confirmation. On Monday, Activision revealed that there will be a closed beta as well as an open beta in the latter part of this summer. From August 30th to September 4th, early access beta to pre-order users will go live. Then from September 6th to September 9th opens to the public.

black ops 6 beta date

“Two days after Call of Duty: Next (on August 28), the Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 Multiplayer Open Beta begins, starting on August 30! Experience the game-changing Omnimovement and other gameplay innovations for yourself across a variety of brand-new maps built by Treyarch, as well as building your own load-outs, accessing a variety of weapons, equipment, and Perks, and dropping in with your squad across several modes.

“Furthermore, players who have pre-ordered the Vault Edition should expect to play as any of the four Operators from the Hunters vs. Hunted Operator Pack (Park, Adler, Brutus, or Klaus), as well as being able to test out any of the five weapons from the Mastercraft Weapon Collection! The Black Ops 6 Multiplayer Beta occurs across two weekends and will feature Early Access days as well as an Open Beta period. Internet access is required for participation.”
