To those that already experienced the first part of Final Fantasy VII Remake, it is understandable that the wait for part two and part three will be painful until more details are revealed. But, the game does not happen to be the only remake that was underway at Square Enix. It so happens that Final Fantasy XI was also expecting a complete reworking for mobile devices when the publisher announced the project back in 2015.
However, more than six years since the game’s inception, Square Enix & developer Nexon shares that the game will cease to continue development. “Both companies determined that the game did not meet the quality standards expected by fans of the Final Fantasy series from a creative perspective, and agreed to reallocate development staff to other projects,” Gematsu writes reporting on the announcement.
Howbeit, that is not the only upsetting news from Square Enix on behalf of remake titles. In that, Game Director Tetsuya Nomura explains that DLC for Final Fantasy VII Remake is not intended to arrive to the game. Nomura goes on to elaborate that the same-named Intergrade for the title only materialized because of the version coming to PlayStation 5.
For what all the chatter is about Final Fantasy VII Remake, we at Rectify Gaming highly suggest you read our full review for the game. Our critic David Rodriguez issues the game to offer “Rich story, great characters, top notch sound and visual design complement the intense and engrossing combat mechanics.” He adds, “An ode to the original while moving the entire story into the modern landscape.” You can read the full critique by heading here.
