July marks an important time for developer Sucker Punch Productions as the studio is utilizing its time to soften the rougher edges for the highly-anticipated Ghost of Tsushima. It was shared back in April that the game’s release date would be ushered into July to better the overall experience of the PlayStation 4 exclusive title as there were prominent bugs that deserved some well-needed squashing.

However, before the Washington-based team could even ship its coming AAA project, users online have began predicting what might be next from the developer. According to business analyst Roberto Serrano on Twitter, the next project might be returning to back to the Infamous franchise. Serrano tweeted that the firm recently renewed its domain for the series, infamousthegame.com.

Serrano is proven correct as when clicking the link will redirect you to the Sucker Punch Productions’ website where it as it currently advertises the approaching Ghost of Tsushima. Furthermore on the topic of Infamous, it would make sense for a new entry as the series has not received such since 2014 with Infamous Second Son and its later released Infamous First Light that same year.

Of course, with the PlayStation 5 currently underway for release later this holiday season it is suspected that the new project would be unique to the next-generation console. Howbeit, there is no confident evidence which validates the game’s presence or arrival later on. Even dissecting some of the job listings on the studio’s website does not determine if there is a new Infamous project underway.

So for the time being, take what was collected as little fact for now. If it happens to be accurate speculation later on – expect a proper announcement from either Sucker Punch Productions or Sony Interactive Entertainment later on. Perhaps there is a possibility for a reveal this coming August as Sony was reported to withholding some projects from the most recent PlayStation 5 showcase for the coming State of Play presentation.

Would you welcome a new Infamous title if it is being developed for PlayStation 5?
