BioWare’s latest Anthem has earned quite a public reputation for the underwhelming and bevy of problems that players have faced since the game’s launch. And while the developer has already reassured those who wish to see the game’s full potential as a properly functioning product, some of the bigger cogs of the machine are moving on to different things outside of the developer.

Lead Producer for Anthem Ben Irving has announced recently to be departing from BioWare after his eight years at the developer.

In a thread on Twitter, Irving discloses his decision to “accept an exciting opportunity at another gaming company.” Adding on, he shares to have enjoyed his time working at BioWare and emphasizes on the time he put into Anthem alongside the experience working with the game’s community following its debut launch. Irving along with Live Services Head Chad Robertson have from time and time again released public statements on the status of the developer’s current sci-fi title and the decisions the studio is making to ensure the best outcome for the game.

The now-former BioWare developer joined the studio back in 2011 as a Release Manager for BioWare to analyze problems ahead of launch for upcoming games and properly prep titles for its respected release date. In 2014, Irving took the role as Lead Development Director for Star Wars: The Old Republic series and later becoming the Lead Producer for the same title the year following.
