PlayStation Plus comes into the spotlight this week, and its not because of the PlayStation Plus free games – at least not yet. Over at Sony Interactive Entertainment, it unveiled its three new subscription tiers: Essential, Extra, and Premier. For fixed prices per months, users can pay for regular the regular PlayStation Plus, one combining the service with PlayStation Now, or a compilation of the two including a virtual library of legacy titles.
However, there is also a break in news more recently that goes on to feature the newest games coming to PlayStation Plus. In that, Hood: Outlaws & Legends, SpongeBob SquarePants: Battle for Bikini Bottom – Rehydrated and Slay the Spire are all coming to PlayStation Plus next month for April 2022’s free games. This month’s free games are still up to install until April 4th.
Noted, there will be one adjustment to PlayStation Plus subscribers. If you might recall, owners of the service on PlayStation 5 received a slew of titles from a new initiative – PlayStation Plus Collection. Well, the PlayStation firm announced alongside the new free titles that Atlus’ Persona 5 is to leave the service next month on May 11th.
Additionally, there is some clarification needed for the new free PlayStation Plus games. Namely Hood: Outlaws & Legends will be available with native PlayStation 4 & PlayStation 5 versions at no additional charge. The remaining Slay the Spire & SpongeBob SquarePants: Battle for Bikini Bottom – Rehydrated will only be up to download the PlayStation 4 version.
