Another announced title from last year returning the recent PlayStation 5 showcase is Arkane Lyon’s Deathloop. Initially, the developer on spared a cinematic trailer showcasing the two main characters Colt & Julianna fighting each other as their demise continues to be repeated in different, fatal scenarios.
Now, the studio has returned to showcase the first look at the gameplay for the coming title and there’s only one word for it that complements the setting, groovy. You can watch the new trailer for the game in the video below:
Bethesda adds more background to the game by sharing that Deathloop despite its story-oriented base is also a multiplayer experience that pits two players against one another. Reverting back to Colt & Julianna, Arkane Lyon’s approach to online interactivity is with the two character always at each other’s throats. So while players attempt to break the loop that continues to run its course for the core story, other users can join to foil the your attempt.
“The focus is on the campaign and the story,” Game Director Dinga Bakaba sheds on the new title.“And that campaign can be played with Julianna controlled only by the AI, or – and this is our recommendation – by a mix of A.I. and random players to experience the range of unpredictability and chaos that Julianna is capable of.” Bethesda goes on by sharing that the feature to allow trespassing players in your game can toggled at any moment.
Most noted about the new title is that Deathloop will launch exclusively for PlayStation 5 when it drops later this year. “Coming to consoles exclusively for PlayStation 5 when it launches this holiday season,” Bethesda states. But according to the trailer, the game will also ship to PC day one and holds to only be a PlayStation exclusive for a limited time – insinuating an Xbxo Series X version to follow suit.
Are you planning on grabbing Deathloop when it launches later this year?
Deathloop is listed to ship sometime in holiday 2020 for PlayStation 5 and PC; Xbox Series X version to arrive later on.
