This week already, Apex Legends once again breaks the sound barrier. In that, the ongoing battle royale (two years now) welcomed its eighth consecutive season – Mayhem. With the addition of a new Legend, Fuse, players can also find new weapons and other in-game items to spurge towards through yet another periodic battle pass. However, Apex Legends will be resurfacing later in March.

It was briefly reported before developer Respawn Entertainment made it official: Apex Legends is finally coming to Nintendo Switch. The title is said to ship the second week of March and will include XP boosters for players to advance upon its arrival. Additionally, cross-play is also said to be welcomed as well. But, Apex Legends is still on the verge of yet another untapped market.

Previously, Electronic Arts pressed on the matters of the growing battle royale to be welcomed into the mobile platform. As per a conference call in June 2020, Electronic Arts’ CEO Andrew Wilson discloses the game will be hitting mobile devices in China before the game faces a global release for the platform.

Now, the firm in its latest earnings report issues that the game is set to arrive within the next year; possibly less. Again from Wilson, he states that Apex Legends continue to face a growing platform as its player base on average increases by 30 percent. Much more, he also goes on to mention that “we will expand further with our Apex Mobile game rolling out in FY22.” While vague, it does leave room to suggest Apex Legends will hit mobile before March 2022.

Elsewhere in the same earnings report, Wilson goes on to elaborate on the coming Battlefield title set to release this year. Not only confirming the game’s release for holiday 2021, but also mentioning that a full-on reveal is set to take place sometime in the spring. You can read the full report by heading here.

Are you planning to drop in Apex Legends on mobile?

Apex Legends is out now for Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, and PC; comes to Nintendo Switch on March 9, 2021.
