Assassin’s Creed Shadows has reached over 3 million players

Assassin’s Creed Shadows has proven to be a success for Ubisoft since it launched on March 20, 2025. Within just a few hours, the game reached 1 million players, and in just 48 hours, it hit 2 million players, making it the second-best launch in franchise history.

Today, Ubisoft announced Assassin’s Creed Shadows has officially reached over 3 million players across PC, Xbox Series X|S, and PlayStation 5. It was the biggest Ubisoft Day 1 ever on the PlayStation Digital Store and has over 40 million hours played across the community.

It was revealed that Assassin’s Creed Shadows is now tracking the most engagement for the IP on Steam. It’s all time peak is over 64,000 on the platform which overtakes Assassin’s Creed Odyssey, which was only at 62,000.
