ASUS’ Republic Of Gamers Announces Partnership With IKEA To Develop Affordable Furniture For Gaming

When the video game industry crunches out another partnership which links a certain property with recognized brands, we typically face a simple item to celebrate the respected title or series in that manner. Such as the collaboration between Puma and Tetris, the deal only brought a pair of shoes to fruition to offer more variety on the retailer’s catalogue with no stringing products suspected to arrive later on.

But now, it looks there might be one partnership that could truly benefit avid video game players according to ASUS. The firm’s subsidiary firm Republic of Gamers (ROG) announced to be teaming up with Swedish furniture manufacturer IKEA to create unique gaming-centered furnishings that would appeal to the industry.

Unlike what is available currently, the new agreement is focused on creating new fitments that is affordable to consumers rather than the price gouging pieces you can easily find online. The firm announced the new on Twitter this week with a brief teaser.

According to a press release offered by Republic of Gamers, the firm’s parent company ASUS discloses its ambition with the new partnership to put design and appeal first for the consumer when it comes to the new line of furniture. “Gamers have always dreamed of the perfect gaming space that is both comfortably functional and enables full immersion in games,” says ASUS General Manager Kris Huang.

“Together with Ikea as an expert in home furnishing, we envision that this collaboration will create synergies that empower gamers to build the gaming space they have always imagined in the comfort of their own homes.” In total, the firm tells that about 30 estimated pieces of furniture will be released as part of the new deal with IKEA.
