Baldur’s Gate 3 from Larian Studios has been available on Steam for over 48 hours and it’s already having tremendous success. It had one of the largest peaks of the year for a new game with 472,136 users playing on August 3rd. Baldur’s Gate 3 only trails Hogwarts Legacy as the largest Steam launch in 2023 when it comes to player count.

The role-playing game continues to hit higher concurrent players on Steam as it hit an all-time new high of 712,000. It only trails Counter Strike: Global Offensive with the amount of players online and 24 hour peak as of August 5th.

Baldur’s Gate 3 has already shown tremendous success as its currently only available for PC, but it’ll be coming to PlayStation 5 on September 6, 2023. An Xbox port of Baldur’s Gate 3 has been delayed due to difficulties implementing split-screen for Xbox Series S. Larian Studios hopes to have an update by the end of the year regarding the Xbox port.

Could we see Baldur’s Gate 3 continue to have success when it comes to PlayStation 5? We will have to wait and see.
