When exploring some of the most popular virtual reality titles, Beat Saber must be on the most-known list for many players – owners of VR headsets or not. But it came at a surprise learning that the game would not be launching for the PlayStation VR 2. That alongside Gran Turismo 7 were said to hit the new peripheral later on.
And while the game has been established for the original PlayStation VR device years prior, it comes even more of a surprise that there was no official support back in February. Even more, the original version would not be on the new PlayStation VR 2 namely due to the lacking support of backwards compatibility for the new system.
Well at the PlayStation Showcase on Wednesday, Beat Games revealed Beat Saber is now out for PlayStation VR 2. You can watch the trailer in the video below:
“Enjoy improved performance with the PlayStation VR2 version of Beat Saber, compared to the previous PlayStation VR version. Better yet, if you already own Beat Saber on PS VR, you can upgrade to PS VR2 for free. Any Beat Saber music packs previously purchased on PS VR are also transferable to PS VR2 at no extra cost,” Beat Games product managing lead Michaela Dvorak shares.
Additionally, a new Queen music pack has also shipped for Beat Saber. The new DLC adds songs such as Another One Bites the Dust, Bohemian Rhapsody, Don’t Stop Me Now, I Want It All, One VisionWe Are The Champions, and We Will Rock You. How excited are you Beat Saber is now on PlayStation VR 2?
Beat Saber is available for Meta Quest, Meta Quest 2, PlayStation VR, PlayStation VR 2.
