Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 is set to release on October 25 across Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, and PC. It will also release on Xbox Game Pass making it the first time the franchise comes to the service. The newest Call of Duty will require internet for all of its game modes including the Campaign.

It’s unusual for a single-player Campaign to require internet, but Activision has confirmed Black Ops 6 will. The reasoning is that Black Ops 6 will use texture streaming across all game modes.
“To deliver the highest-quality visuals while also reducing the game’s overall storage space on your hard drive, Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 will use texture streaming across all game modes. This means you’ll need a continuous internet connection to play any game mode, including Campaign. If you’re on a console, Campaign can be played without a premium subscription service such as Game Pass Core or PlayStation Plus.”
Luckily the Campaign can be played without subscription services, but you will need to at least have internet if you want to enjoy Call of Duty’s single-player mode.
A lot of news has been coming out regarding Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 including that Modern Warfare II and Modern Warfare III content will not carry forward. There will be 16 all-new multiplayer maps in the newest Call of Duty including new style of gameplay.
