From those that entertained themselves with the past few Resident Evil titles that shipped in recent years, you can recall each game pushing extremely pleasurable visuals whilst still remaining truthful to the Capcom IP. Titles such as Resident Evil 7, Resident Evil 2, and Resident Evil 3 Remake all showcased the RE Engine and what Capcom can produce with the proprietary engine.
Most recently, Capcom went on to feature the same suite with the reveal for Resident Evil 4 Remake. Atop of that, but the firm was not even hesitant to share the release date for the game is slated for this coming March in 2023. Even more is the game will be unique to next-generation machines only. So what about the previous releases? Capcom did promises the earlier games will be receiving enhancements for the newest consoles as well in the past.
As you may know, the publisher announced it will be hosting its own presentation on June 13th. And during said Capcom Showcase, the firm releases the Xbox Series X|S & PlayStation 5 upgrades for Resident Evil 7, Resident Evil 2 & 3 Remakes. You can watch the trailer in the video below:
“Resident Evil 2, Resident Evil 3, and Resident Evil 7 biohazard reanimate today on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S with 4K resolution, ray tracing, high frame rate, and 3D audio. DualSense™ haptic feedback and adaptive trigger support is also available on PlayStation 5. PlayStation 4 and Xbox One players can upgrade at no additional cost via the digital upgrade program and Smart Delivery. These upgrades will also be available today on PC via a patch,” the firm writes in the blog post.
In a separate enticing reveal recently from Capcom, the firm unveiled the first look at Street Fighter Vi. While the game is an improved sequel, the biggest triumph aside from the visuals is the inclusion of an open-world experience when progressing through the single player story mode.
