Around this time last year during the PC Gaming Show, Torn Banner Studios alongside Tripwire Interactive unveiled that Chivalry 2 is on the way exclusively for Epic Games Store. And while there was a spill of controversy as many Steam users took that move close to the chest, many fans still grew excited to learn that a follow-up to the 2012 title is on the way for 2020.

However, as we greet the halfway mark for the first year of the new decade already in June, there still is no word of when the game will officially be arriving. But according to a new announcement made, we might learn as for why that is. According to Torn Banner Studios during the commencement of the IGN Summer of Gaming virtual showcase, the developer shared that Chivalry 2 will be shipping to consoles as well.

Even more with the title planned to hit the current-generation Xbox and PlayStation, the same can also be said for the approaching iterations planned to arrive later this holiday season. With that, the team has revealed that cross-platform support for the game is also in the works between all platforms supported.

So not only will the team bridge opposing systems, but it will also offer the same support between generational leaps for new hardware as well. “We can’t wait for gamers across the world on all five platforms to clash steel and experience the greatest melee combat system ever, together,” Torn Banner Studios’ President Steve Piggott told IGN today.

During the same showcase today, IGN also hosted the announcement for Fabraz’s Demon Turf. You can read the full report for the announcement by heading here.

Which system do you plan on embarking towards for Chivalry 2?

Chivalry 2 is planned to arrive sometime in 220 for PC, Xbox One, Xbox Series X, PlayStation 4, and PlayStation 5.
