The ongoing series that is Dead by Daylight is expanding in new directions. One of the biggest announcements is arrangement with Blumhouse Pictures on a live-action film. In partnership with James Wan’s Atomic Monsters will adapt the popular video game into a motion picture. What’s more is the effort from both Supermassive Games & Midwinter Entertainment on two new titles connecting the universe.

Back at The Game Awards in December, Supermassive Entertainment alongside Behaviour Interactive revealed the new story-filled title, The Casting Of Frank Stone. And that was not the only major announcement since then. In a following update, it was confirmed that Child’s Play serial killer Chucky would also be making his debut for Dead by Daylight as well.

Now in a surprise announcement from the Dead by Daylight ‘Year 8 Anniversary Broadcast’ released a new game, What The Fog. Behaviour Interactive shares that 2 million free copies will be handed to anyone that signs-in with a Behaviour Account. You can watch the new launch trailer in the video below:

“What the Fog answers the age-old question: What would happen if you and a friend were swallowed by a cursed board game? You’d get a 2-person co-op roguelite filled with magic powers, non-stop action, and lots and lots of monsters – that’s what. Learn to use your new abilities and work together as you run, jump, and shoot your way through swarms of enemies, collecting Bloodpoints, repairing Generators, and unlocking exit doors in this chaotic game from the world of Dead by Daylight.”

The Steam description continues: “Teamwork is the name of the game. Or it would be if it weren’t already What the Fog. Point is monster killing is always better together. Choose between Dead by Daylight’s Dwight, Claudette, or Feng Min and strategize your upgrades to build loadouts that complement each other. Then stay in the action even after you die, helping your partner tough it out until they can revive you.”
