It has been roughly a month since the announcement for Codemasters’ Dirt 5. The team disclosed that alongside its release for current-generation hardware, versions for the later consoles shipping this coming holiday season will arrive at launch as well. Initially, the game received its official debut for Xbox One & Xbox Series X, but it was later disclosed in a separate announcement that Sony’s family of consoles will be getting the racing title as well.
However, what the forecast for this new title will look like only aimed at a vague release window for this coming fall in October. But now in a new trailer for the game, Codemasters reveals that Dirt 5’s arrival is slated for October 9th.

In a separate blog post by Codemasters, the firm shares that this coming October release only applies to the current-generation versions of Dirt 5 including PC as well. It is what you could guess seeing that the release date for both the Xbox Series X and PlayStation 5 still has yet to be disclosed. Codemasters elaborates more on the matters by sharing that the next-generation versions of the game is aimed for holiday 2020 with earl y2021 slated for the Stadia version of Dirt 5 as well.
Alongside sparing a handful of new in-game rendered screenshots, Codemasters also tells that more information on the game is expected to be unveiled leading to the October release for Dirt 5. That includes wider a look at other gameplay mechanics and more details on the anticipated story campaign starring prolific voice actors troy Baker and Nolan North.
