Looking behind on the 2019 announcement of Battletoads officially returning with a complete revamp of the series, Xbox Game Studios team Rare has not shared much on the project. While there is confirmation on the game arriving in 2020 earlier on, chatter on the upcoming title has been kept to a minimum which is driving some followers insane as the grow impatient to learn more.
However, July in particular has been an interesting month for the project. Despite the game not being present during the recent Xbox Games Showcase last week, we did learn that the game is underway for arrival through legal filings. In that, Battletoads was rated in both Brazil and later in Australia which implies an announcement is on the way.
Howbeit, what sealed the envelope on this speculation follows a recent tweet from Rare which simply reads three from emojis – portraying the game’s cast: Pimple, Rash, and Zitz.
While it is not to encouraged to take the previous ratings in the Eastern Hemisphere to be as fact for an imminent announcement, the latest Twitter post from the developer does more of the talking. Especially seeing that the firm has not spared virtually any details on the project, an overflow of information is suspected to arrive very soon. Perhaps this will occur during the recently reported August Xbox 20/20 feature that Phil Spencer disclosed to take place next month.
Elsewhere recently, developer Rare this month disclosed that Sea of Thieves has officially overcame 15 million users since the game’s conception in spring of 2018. This can be found through the game’s accessibility on Xbox alongside its latest Steam debut. You can read the full report by heading here.
Do you plan on playing the new Battletoads whenever it arrives later on?
