Earlier this week, developer Crytek abruptly scheduled a gameplay showcase for the anticipated Crysis Remastered scheduled to arrive later this year. Alongside a more in-depth look at the rework of the 2007 title, the release date of the game also happened to seep into public eye – slated for July 23 later on. With the actual trailer also being available as well online ahead of its reveal, Crytek went to make a statement on the matters.

Following the vocal reception from followers online, Crytek reveals that the release for Crysis Remastered will be pushed to add another layer of polish to the returning property for modern consoles. On Twitter, the studio declares that pre-ordering for the Nintendo Switch version of the game will remain as other supported systems will be shut down for the time being.

“Your passion for the Crysis franchise deserves an undeniably high-quality game, and we’re committed to delivering just that. To ensure that we meet that commitment, we will need to delay the launch date (all platforms) and trailer premiere by a few weeks,” a segment of the letterhead reads.

In the latter parts of the image posted, Crytek reveals to have acknowledged the criticisms from the recent leaks of Crysis Remastered – both good and bad. The firm explains that it has been and continues to listen to followers for the game and anticipates to keep afloat with the standard that the initial Crysis offered including the hardware issues that was unique to most that played Crysis over a decade ago.

Crytek elaborates more by disclosing that the additional time subjected to the project will be utilized towards being level with the “PC and console-breaking standard you’re come to expect from Crysis games.” Suspecting when the game will arrive now, one guess could land the game’s release date to be sometime in late summer or just on the brink to the fall season since Crytek did not supply a new timeframe for the title’s launch.

Will be you patient for Crysis Remastered?

Crysis Remastered is listed for Xbox One, PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, and PC.
