For many fans excited to return to the definitive reworking of Crytek’s 2007 title Crysis, they were unfortunately met with an abrupt delay of the game. In that, the developer stated the title would be facing a push in its arrival by a “few weeks” for much needed adjustments to the project and reiterate on other issues still present in the then-build for the remaster.
Howbeit, despite Crysis being a notoriously demanding title, the game was also listed to hit Nintendo Switch as well. Which left many fans surprised to learn that the remastered title would be releasing first on the eShop last month with no word as to where the remaining versions are. Now ticking more than a month since the initial delay, it would be a matter of time until Crytek spared the new release date for Crysis Remastered.
Now in a new tech preview video uploaded today, Crytek announces that fans on Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC can expect the game to ship in mid September. You can watch trailer in the video below:
“In Crysis, what begins as a simple rescue mission becomes the battleground of a new war as alien invaders swarm over a North Korean island chain,” the synopsis reads in the latest blog post. “Armed with a powerful Nanosuit, players can become invisible to stalk enemy patrols, or boost strength to lay waste to vehicles. The Nanosuit’s speed, strength, armor, and cloaking allow creative solutions for every kind of fight, while a huge arsenal of modular weaponry provides unprecedented control over play style.
“In the ever-changing environment, adapt tactics and gear to dominate your enemies, in an enormous sandbox world.” Crytek is also happy to unveil that Crysis Remastered will be the first title utilizing its self-named, proprietary engine to implement raytracing on the beefier Xbox One X and PlayStation 4 Pro. Of course, PC users still have an upper hand with NVIDIA GeForce and its supported DLSS technology.
